Apple iPad Introduction

With the introduction of the Apple iPad last year (2010), people got to experience a whole new way of checking and sending email, playing games, reading books and basically having more technology at the edge of their fingertips than ever before. It was through this device that people got to really see how advanced as a world we have become. The iPad is a huge device that is about the size of a piece of memo pad paper, however, it only weighs around one and half pounds and is very thin. It is much more lighter than any net book or notebook on the market, which is one reason that many people want to own one of these devices. Add into the fact that you can do just about anything on the iPad that you can do on the computer, and it becomes an instant winner with the public.

The screen on the iPad is a touch screen and has the ability to rotate the images on the screen with the layout that the person is holding the device. Something that is reminiscent of the iPhone. In addition, the iPad has its own capabilities of streaming music, video, movies and YouTube clips just like a regular computer. In addition, the person can download their music, pictures and other data from their other Apple other devices onto the iPad so that they have all that information right there for them at any point in time. The use of the iBookstore allows for people to read their books on the go without the need of an official e-book reader.

For those that are wanting a tablet for business purposes, there is even software designed specifically for the iPad that is similar to what a person will use on their iPhone and computer in order to organize business affairs and so forth. It has really taken the place of the laptop that used to be a permanent fixture to those that traveled for business. And with a keyboard that is about the size of what a real computer keyboard is, it makes things much easier for people to use than what they expect.

The charge on the iPad is very similar to the iPod with a battery life of around ten hours. The battery that is used in the iPad is one that can be recharged a thousand times before the person will even notice that they are losing some battery life. The screen is also ultra sensitive which helps this iPad to be even more appealing to consumers as it is less complicated than previous generations of devices that were offered with touch screen capabilities.

This is a fairly new product, but thus far, the consumer world seems to be going after this device with enthusiasm. So much so that retailers did have a hard time in keeping these on the shelf for the first few weeks after release. Though they may come with a hefty price tag, they replace the need for all other electronic devices that the person has, thus eliminating the need for carrying around the extra weight. In order to be able to compete with Apple on the tablet Market other manufactorers like BlackBerry and Samsung have developed their very own tablet. For example Samsung has developed the Galaxy tab, a device comparable to the iPad but less expensive. But of course not as good as the iPad :)
