Apple iPod Introduced

Apple had tons of success with the computer and then in 2001 they revolution just what the people would come to use in order to get the music that they wanted to listen to. The iPod introduced an awesome, lightweight and convenient way to store up to 1,000 songs that were the same quality as what people would find on the CD's that they would purchase all in one small package that weighs around 6.5 ounces. The battery was able to play for ten continuous hours without having to be recharged, which made it the device to have when going on hikes and making long road trips. In addition, it has a feature that includes twenty minutes of continuous play time so that the person does not have to worry about having to refresh the player each time they want a new song.

The iPod came out with the original 5 GB of memory, however after the initial findings that the consumer market were wanting the iPod, the company did come out with several other options for the consumer world. In addition, they started to offer these in various colors so that the person can have one that was completely personalized. Along with the iPod that come with ear buds to listen to the music, there were tons of other products that were offered specifically for the use with iPod. For example, the iPod desktop player, which allowed for people to dock the iPod into the player and listen to this through stereo speakers. This was a huge hit for those that were having huge parties and wanted party music. There was also the ability to listen to the iPod in your car with the proper equipment, a huge hit for drivers. In addition, the iTunes became the place to be for those that wanted the freshest music that was out there. Musical artists started to release their entire album on iTunes before it could be purchased in stores, which helped Apple to gain even more consumers since it meant getting the music that they wanted before they get could it somewhere else.

The iPod opened up a whole new market that the competition eagerly started to venture into. However, it was Apple that opened up the market and it was with Apple that most consumers stayed with. The iPod did not have any major problems when it first came to the market, which spoke volumes to the quality of work that the company was putting forth.

They soon kept coming out with newer and newer versions of the iPod. However, even for those that have the older versions, they are still compatible as long as the iTunes is updated to show the music that they are wanting. The iPod was made to last and it has done so with the majority of consumers in the world owning one of this nifty devices. Now, everywhere that someone goes, they have those ear buds in their ears listening to their favorite music, thanks to Apple inventions.
